Assembled easily, came as expected, powerful enough for OUR targeted user of an under 100lbs.
Looks kinda funky in design, but likely a 'necessary evil' for the wonderful ability to fold up for compact transport/storage...certainly over-comable for the benefits we enjoy.
We're happy with ours, for sure, and that it comes in under 400USD. Sure, it's still a hefty investment, but 'acceptable' when graduating from not-much-cheaper higher-end scooters they're coming from.
I'm 200lbs, and while this states a rating over 300lbs, I don't have FULL confidence in using it as MY daily commuter, for reliable years of service. Sure, the occasional usage for me, I think it'd do just fine, and for our needs, are satisfied owners.

I ordered this bike for short trips around the neighborhood to gather the mail etc. The bike is lightweight and I like that it can be folded up for storage when not in use. I don’t think this is suitable for most plus adult sized folks. It’s more suited to a pre-teen or student. There’s a bit of a learning curve when learning to use the bike, but otherwise is fun to ride. I think it’s a well priced bike for the money and would be excellent for a student living on campus to get from place to place.

This by electric bike has a lot of power and doesn't need to be charged that often unless you use it a lot. The bike takes a little bit to get used to when you first start out riding. I recommend practicing in wide open spaces so that if you jolt forward you won't crash into something. I also suggest when you are first learning, don't accelerate with the pedals and only accelerate with the handle until you get the hang of that. Then you can add the pedals because the pedals are really unpredictable and it's hard to get hang of them. Our bike also broke after a few months and it won't go forward. Something's wrong with the breaks but we're hoping to be able to fix it at some point.

Like another reviewer, we had an issue with the back sprocket unscrewing. For us, this happened right at the start. My husband tried to use the bike and couldn't make it around the side of the house before it stopped working for him. Referring to the other review, he checked and figured out that we had the same problem and he was able to make the adjustment necessary to make it work. After a test ride, he pointed out that there were a couple of things which make this kind of bike a bit of a learning curve if you are used to manual bicycles. First, because the wheels are so small, the turning ratio is really short too. Unlike a regular bike, you pretty much turn on a dime, which you need to account for in order to not fall over. Also, if you want to use just the pedals without power boost, you need to turn off the motor. There is no way to just pedal without the bike kicking into the highest speed setting to assist you. These are not deal breakers, just something to be aware of if you haven't ridden this type of bike before. He noted that, in terms of the bike itself, the seat slid down as he was using the bike, so while it started at the right height by the time he returned from his ride he was sitting quite a bit closer to the ground than when he started. We aren't sure why this happened but he's pretty strong and is used to adjusting our regular bike seats, so is familiar with the process, how much force to use, etc. Also, the pedals aren't the highest quality, they have little plastic nubs on one side to help your feet stay on them, but if you are using this for transportation you might want to see if you can trade them out for pedals that are larger and have a better grip (possibly metal teeth). Overall, it's a fun bike and because it folds down it is pretty compact, which makes it a helpful option for dorm or apartment living.

Was easy to put together and start using almost right away. I live in an area with lots of hills and some flat areas, so this made my bike riding so much easier and more comfortable for me. Charging it up is easy and last quite a while on one charge. Very sturdy and holds quite a bit of weight.

Not a lot of features but it works better than I expected. There are no gears, no power settings for the motor and the display provides no information beyond battery status. However, everything works. The mechanical disc brakes stop effectively with no noise (and the tail light illuminates when braking). It has an extremely long seatpost to accommodate riders from about 4'8" to 6'. At 6' tall I have the seat post maxed out but I can comfortably pedal this bike. It is remarkably smooth and stable for running on such small wheels. The motor is quiet but not particularly powerful - it struggles to get up hills and requires some pedal assist when it gets steep. The claim of "Strong Climbing Ability" is definitely overstated and it won't climb a 25 degree slope. It's surprisingly easy to fold and unfold and should fit into the trunk of most cars, but it is pretty heavy.

I ordered this for my son to use, and he loves it. He's 15 and he actually assembled it himself without much difficulty. The battery charges simply and he's able to ride it for quite a long time (multiple miles) between charges. I've seen other electric bikes that cost a lot more, but this is a nice option if you don't want to spend a ton of money. It holds his weight, as well as the weight of the heavier members of our household without any difficulty. The tires are tiny and you kind of look like a circus performer when you ride it, but it gets from point A to B reliably. The only issue my son has is that he finds the seat to be a little uncomfortable, but I honestly don't know if a truly comfortable bike seat exists.

This thing is pretty quick. Fairly lightweight and easy portable. Gets up and goes at a decent clip though no speed demon. Hopefully longevity is great, time will tell.

Overall, I’m impressed with how small and light it is and it’s still able to keep up with my other e-bike from gotrax. Got this for my wife so we can bike together now.

Has good acceleration, has great breaking system just a little uncomfortable, since the bars are just straight, no angles or nothing but we have pretty long arms, so no issues reaching down and grabbing him. The lights on this thing are really bright. Actually brighter than my gotrax that costed way more. You can turn them on or off just by switching the key. Yes it comes with the key to turn it on and off as if you were turning on and off your car. Works like an ignition. When you break the brake light comes on, so it has all the safety features. Battery has lasted pretty well for its size. I would say that this is worth its value and what you pay for easy to put together and easy to fold down for a small space.

My son uses this to go to school (and when I need something from the store) and it's convenient for me since it's one less child to take.
The bike is well made and olid, all I needed to do was put on the seat and the pedals, it came pretty much made, I will say check all the nuts and bolt because the front ones were loose.

It goes fast, not sure how fast but fast enough, you need to unlock the fast setting to use it, it's in the instructions.
It has brakes like a motorcycle and they work well and stops quick.

My son said he can take it to school and back 3 days before it needs a charge at max speed, it's 1.7 miles to his school so a little over 10 miles before charging, maybe more at a lower speed.
It folds for storage but honestly I don't like it, it's too bulky.

We had issues with our 13 year old locking himself up in his room for days, weeks on end and never getting outside to ride his (non-electric) bike and do kid stuff. Well, this bike changed everything. Ever since we got this, he goes out all the time, at random times (even in the middle of the night lol) to ride and enjoy the bike which is a lot of fun for him. He also likes to go run random errands and even did a test of the bike to see how far he could go before the battery ran out (turns out he went all the way across town before needing to re-charge)

My only real complaint with the bike is probably going to be its long term durability, but some of that could be mitigated by it being owned by a responsible adult instead of a 13 year old who might not necessarily know how to properly take care of things.

Overall though this bike is a good value for the price, especially if it ends up lasting a good long time (which at this point is debatable, as he has already damaged it a little due to wrecks, etc)

This is a fun bike. It came mostly assembled, but there were a few pieces to put together. It is very heavy for how big it is, but it is manageable for 1 person to carry. The range and battery life seem to be accurate for a small person.

I was surprised with the amount of pep this bike has. Other electric bikes and scooters I've tried lose all power at the slightest include but this one keeps up pretty well.

Took a little getting used to the balancing since the smaller frame and wheels to a standard bike but works great and is very speedy!

The pedals are a little flimsy feeling if you have the inclination to want to stand up on them it feels like they might bend or snap but standard riding isn’t an issue. Seems well built otherwise and folds down fairly easily for transport.

The bike itself is fairly heavy and isn’t as portable as I first thought but this isn’t a huge issue since I haven’t needed to lift it much. Overall I’m really pleased with the cycle. Battery seems strong and the bike appears pretty solid so far. Really nice electric bike!

Assembly was very straightforward and instructions were clear. Battery was fully charged after a couple hours. Comes with disc brakes which I prefer over hydraulics when it comes to something like this as Hydraulics just add another level of complexity that is not necessary. It goes pretty fast I need to buy a better helmet!

This bike came well packed and was mostly assembled. I just had to attach the pedals and unfold it. The battery had a nearly full charge so I was able to test it out right away.

The disc brakes work well and stop the bike quickly with precise control. The acceleration is strong without being dangerous, well mostly. My son has to be careful when starting. If he starts full throttle the bike goes up on one wheel and tries to get out from under him. He is 110 lbs. I am 185 and don't have that same experience. So rider weight is a significant factor for a bike this size.

With my son it goes 20mph, with me it tops out at 14.5.

It climbs steep hills without much problem. I live in a neighborhood with multiple steep long hills and the bike makes it up with me and keeps reasonable speed at 8-10 mph at the steepest parts.

I have not tested the range. But my son rides it a mile or 2 every day around the neighborhood and uses about 1/2 the battery in a week. I am not too concerned on range because we will use it at RV parks, and around the hood. The folding aspect is great, it fits easily in a side compartment of my RV.

This folding electric bike was very pleasant to ride. The assembly was just like a regular bike but with just a little added weight. Don't mistake its smaller size as it is a very capable bike. Weighing in at 165lb, I was able to reach full speed easily. As far as range goes, on full electric, I would say it will easily achieve 20miles and with pedal assists, it would easily go 30+miles. Folding and unfolding the bike is simple and when locked, there is nearly no play or wobble. Overall, it is best for smaller adults or teens.

Overall a pretty solid pedal ebike. It gets up to speed pretty quickly and is able to adjust low or high speed. Does not go as far as advertised, unless you pedal a lot. That brings me to the problem, there is a pedal speed sensor that basically acts like an on off switch. You can't really pedal the bike slowly and get assistance. You can turn off the ebike and pedal but what's the point of that. Easy-ish fix. Open it up and disconnect the wire I showed in picture. Then you can just use the throttle as needed. Slight inconvenience, but overall not a bad bike especially since it folds very compactly.

Without stating my age it’s been awhile since I have ridden a bike, and the old adage you never forget is true! The WINDHORSE Electric Bike for Adults is a blast. It is very enjoyable and it would make additional fun activity if you go camping (with the ability to charge the battery) or the park, also if you travel a lot this would make a great addition to a spare tire if you break down or stranded in an emergency situation. With that being said; the Windhorse electric bike is fast especially if you take it off the speed control governor and especially going down hills Its really fast.
The Windhorse going up hills is equally impressive. The manufacture states 25 degree hill, I have taken it up much steeper than that, and it did very well. Considering the size of the bike and even with very steep inclines I pedal effortlessly at the very top because of the electric back up, it was very impressive.
Braking was just as impressive the Windhorse E-bike will stop on a dime (IMO). I did not have to use the front brakes at all. The back brakes is all I needed no matter what terrain or speed I was going, it might be because of the engineering of the bike, when you squeeze the brake handle the power to the motor shuts off thus aiding in the braking. When releasing the brakes the power is once again connect to the motor as before.
The charging cable is lighter then my laptop charger and just as easy. The charger has an LED light to let you know if you are fully charge by the red light changing to green. You could also (with key on) view the (Pic #6) LED charging indicator that is on the bike handle bar. Turing the key to the second position puts the headlight and tail light on; also when you squeeze the brakes handle the brake light comes on regardless of key placement.
The bike comes almost completely assembly. I had the bike together and running in 20minutes I did not even have to charge it because it came almost fully charged. The handle bars, seat, peddles, and tighten a few screws on the handle bars and it was ready to go. The E-bike came with a screwdriver and wrench (pic.#2) that you needed.
Once again, the bike is a real joy to ride, it steers, brakes, and rides great. I have had friends on this bike and the manufacture stated 330lbs weight limit, I believe it! Because the bike is lightweight and folds so easy I have taken it to a few places where I allowed people to ride it and see what they thought. Everyone love it and had nothing but positive remarks about it, they all want to get one especially when they heard the price.
Now about the last 3 pictures when it was delivery the box was damage big time in 3 different parts and I suspect the damage broke the front and back reflector (I have not try to contact Windhorse).
This is what I was wondering do the brakes ever need to be replaced? Can you replace the battery? If so how do you replace it? What is the rating of the battery? Can the charger be replaced when it burns out? I ask these questions because the manual does not answer any of these nor do they even address it. Considering when you buy a cheap flashlight it comes with directions and tells you what kind of battery it takes. I am surprise, but this is a very well made E-Bike for adults and no doubt it will bring years of fun! Delivery was 3 days ahead of schedule.

This Windhorse eBike has a lot going for it. It does fold up some to travel, it has both pedal assist and throttle, it is comfortable to ride, goes reasonably quick on the flats, has lights and disc brakes. Also has a small fender over the back wheel.

There are some drawbacks. When it was all folded, the handlebars were supporting the bike on the pavement after it was folded down. I thought the stand underneath the pedals should take the whole support of the bike. So be prepared for scratches on your handlebars.

When I finished putting the bike together (fairly easy), and i went for a short ride, all seemed good until I heard a grinding feel in the bike. What I found was the sproket at the back had unscrewed, so it was pressing against the frame. Once I figured it out, I just pedaled and it screwed backk on. My concern is if it does it again, and someone not familiar with it has to deal with it.

As for performance, it has good pick and go. The 15.5 mph was fine. I did not unlock the higher 21 mph. The bike has both throttle and pedal assist. You can also ride it withput power. It says it can do 25° hills. Maybe that's true but only if you are pedaling too. I barely made it up my driveway slope without pedaling.

There are no gears, and there is only 1 electric setting. There is a key to turn it on for power, and also to turn on the headlight and taillight. There is a little kick stand at the back.

The bike is not particularly light at 43 lbs, but it is manageable.

For the price, this is an awesome deal. It is by no means a perfect bike. But put up with a few quirks, and you will be ok.

I'm pretty happy with this bike, definitely more than what I expected for the price. I weigh 230 and this bike was able to pull me with ease. I did try on a flat Road and a small incline and had no issues. Assembly was a breeze everything that was needed even tools were in the box from start to finish took me about 20 minutes to completely put the bike together. When breaking it down to put in my trunk I was able to do it in just a minute or two. The bike came with full instructions that were easy to follow. The only con was the packaging was quite flimsy. I was concerned when I received it and there was a hole in the box, however everything was there and in good condition. After being put together the bike looks nice and clean, I was impressed with the headlight and brake lights at this price point. So far I'm very happy with this you bike and I can see how it would be a good commuter vehicle.

I'm 6' tall and around 235lbs. I had my doubts. This eBike seems to work just fine. Although I have not put it through the ringer yet. I have only assembled and driven for about 10 minutes. Initial thoughts. The packaging was NOT sufficient enough to keep the seat from having a 1-inch tear in the material and the rear post reflector from being damaged. I have started communicating with Windhorse but it's to soon to judge customer service. Was this because of packing or poor quality control when examining the parts being sent...I do not know. UPDATE: I called the manufacturer/sales people direct. I told them the seat arrived torn and a reflector was broken. I was told they had them in stock and would send them out the next business day. Weeks later, I have seen nothing arrive in the mail. I would say they are not very responsive. Beware if you need support after you buy.

The first impression is that is seems to be built fairly solid. Other than the couple of things mentioned above, everything seems to work great. I initially charged it for about 2-hours to gain a full charge. I inserted the key and tested the lights and the battery level. Everything worked fine.

I proceeded out and down the driveway to the street. I drove it around 4 blocks, about 2 miles and the only issue I had was the seat post. It kept sliding down at a very sneaky-slow rate. I figured out the problem when my knees began to hurt, lol. I got off, loosened the post lever, then tighten the screw about a full turn, then clamped the lever back down....no more problem. Yay me!

I tested the brakes and the speed. I would say that 15 mph is about the maximum speed you will go. It seemed like a comfortable speed and I did not feel as if there were any control issues when leaning, or turning. By no means do you feel like the bike is going too fast...it just felt like a normal bike ride but without the peddling. Although, you could peddle if you feel like it. It is one standard gear if you want to peddle.

Lastly, you should check all screws "before" riding. Even though you would think a brake lever would be securely fastened, it was not the case for me. I had to tigten the nut or the lever would just flop. Also, the handle bar was rotated 90 degrees forward (I guess for shipping?), I did not notice until my palm felt awkward as the blade/flat area of the grip was vertical (not flat like it was supposed to be) and it was jabbing into my palm. So, take time to loosen the handlebar lever and rotate the handlebar until the brake and grips are to your liking....before driving off into the sunset.

As for foldability, it is absolutely foldable. There are quick levers to fold the bike frame in the middle, a seat-post lever to drop the seat down fully or remove it, a front steering post lever to fold the front post parallel with the body. The handlebar lever...well, not sure other than for convenience as you won't be sliding the handlebars off without removing a bunch of cables and grips and electronics. I guess that is for simple adjustments for your comfort.

If I have more to say after a bit more time, I will update this post. The one star I took away was for the two damaged items (seat torn, and reflector broken)....this is minor and I assume the company will work with me replace them. I would not be deterred from purchasing this item if I needed a second eBike.
